在提起美國流行文化的標志的時候，不少人會先想起瑪麗蓮夢露。而同爲文化標志之一的 James Byron Dean 雖然在自己最具代表性的電影上映之前就因爲車禍而去世了，但他對流行文化所造成的影響，遠遠超出了年代的限制。
